PATRICIA WESTER, Accompanist
A native of Cumming, Tricia has been involved in music all of her life. She attended the University of Georgia, earning a degree in Music Education. The teaching profession brought her back to Forsyth County where she taught general music, conducted choral ensembles and instrumental music. In 2001 she retired after thirty-one years of service.
Tricia became pianist for Cumming United Methodist Church in 1986. She is a member of the Chancel Choir, The Chancel Handbells, the Recorder Consort, accompanist for Joyful Sound, director of the Cherub Choir, Beginners Recorder Choir, and Associate Music Director for the church. She has performed with the Alpharetta Chamber Singers and the local dulcimer group, Stummin’ in Cummin’. She has played horn with the local wind band, the Sounds of Sawnee, and the University of Georgia Alumni Marching Band. She was accompanist with the Cumming Chorale for 10 years and the Dawson County Community Chorale from 2004-2006. Tricia continually accompanies for area school’s choral programs, festivals, workshops, and recitals. |
